Garden Make-Over

A team of eight Year 13 Servite Community Service Students have completed their renovation and decoration of the Sandford Court Estate. Since the middle of the Autumn term the students have used their placements to transform the wooden raised beds from a worn, unprotected, weather-beaten look to brilliantly colourful Our Lady’s blue. They also went the extra mile and decorated the boxes with tasteful graffiti stencilling created by the art students in the group.

Ms Irene Lewington, the Sandford Court resident who first approached the school about help with her estate’s allotment was really delighted with the final result. She said "OLCHS students have been so patient and dedicated with their work and the results have really brought a lot of life to this part of the community.”

Hackney Homes is keen to involve our school once again in new inter-generational projects. enter some content for your news story here.
