Year 13 Trip to the British Museum
Year 13 Classics Trip
Report by Natalia Labuszinka, Yr 13
On Wednesday, May 17th, the Yr 13 Classics group went to visit the Roman room at the British Museum, accompanied by our tutor, Mr Farrell. The room contains several exhibits that we are studying for our Roman Britain module. It was fascinating to view actual objects that we had previously only studied in class. We were especially interested in the mosaics that prove Christian influences and the sophistication of some of the jewellery. Tombstones were interesting but we especially enjoyed examining the “curse tablets”. Since Mr Farrell bought us cakes and hot drinks afterwards, we decided not to compose any for him. Overall, it was a very informative experience.
