Our Lady's Catholic
High School

Sixth Form

In addition to central funding for our 6th form students, the school seeks to secure  additional  funding  to support small group tuition targeted at students who are studying a vocational Health and Social Care and Business Level 3 courses and who  are  identified as pupil premium students.

These students will be  supported academically through  small group tuition (3/5)  by an experienced teacher and individual tuition by a support member of staff to support engagement. In addition, the school will provide supervised study periods  to  further secure the effective completion of their course. This work will be further enhanced by effective careers advice in small groups by a supper member of staff  so that the students will be better informed and placed to prepare for future choices. In addition, students will be supported to secure, where appropriate, grade 4 in maths or English  where not as yet secured and grade 5 where this is required for progression. The intended impact of this work is that all identified students secure their Level 3 course enabling them to successfully meet target grades and secure their university offers or intended profession destinations.
