At OLCHS we take our Servite Values seriously, and one of those is 'Community'. OLCHS have teamed up with Volunteering Matters to help out at local community events.
Frampton Park Community Centre
Year 12 HSC students were at Frampton Park Community Centre, assisting with community lunch time, they all worked happily with the staff and residents and were thanked for their respect and communication. This was a joint community project with Volunteering Matters (Alexia in the bottom left photo) and OLCHS. We have also been offered placements there next year for upcoming year 12’s and 10’s.

Volunteering Matters
Volunteering Matters develop and deliver high impact volunteer-led solutions across the UK in response to some of the most difficult challenges facing individuals and their communities today. They engage more than 30,000 volunteers and 90,000 beneficiaries every year through 180 active programmes across the UK. Volunteering Matters has been leading UK volunteering in policy and practice for more than 50 years. Their volunteer programmes help to improve health and wellbeing; build stronger, more inclusive communities; and achieve lasting results. They believe that everyone can play a role in their community and should have the chance to participate; we build projects and programmes to reflect this. They focus on the needs of four distinct communities; young people, disabled people, families and older people.
